While these countries are considered to be overall safe for people to visit, of course safety can never be guaranteed, and not every part of every country is safe. For example, Brazil's borders are notably dangerous for crime activity, while the country still made the list this year.
In the same regard, if there are travel alerts for one part of the country, try to remember other parts of the country may be perfectly okay, just as New York crime has no effect on North Dakotans.
